Pavilion Prototype
Commissioned by University of Westminster and Jan Kattein Architects
A modular wooden structure for hands-on research and practical experimentation
In a collaborative effort, we worked with the University of Westminster architecture students and Jan Kattein Architects. Together, we developed a 1:1 prototype, 6m tall, triangular in shape with two alternating modules.
The prototype enables the students to test innovative cladding solutions and upcycled materials, and gain experience of the planning and construction process. This hands-on project not only enhances their design skills but also fosters an understanding of sustainability in architectural practice.
Processes include:
Design development
Production drawing
joinery
site installation
